Born and raised on the island of ‘Oahu, I’ve grown up in what most people consider paradise. Surrounded by luscious mountains and gorgeous beaches has taught me a deep appreciation for the ‘aina (land) sparking my passion for helping the environment and those who live in it (aka us, yes people). When I’m not tree-huggin’, I’m most likely gym-ratting. Throwing balls around was the next step right after I learned to crawl so naturally sports is deeply rooted in my bones. From basketball to Aikido, I’ve tried and loved most sports though you’ll only catch me sleeping with my Baden by my side. If I’ve got some squiggles on my arms or clay on my clothes it wouldn’t be the first time. As much as I love the environment and helping others, I love art equally. A totally dork for photography, drawing, and anything artsy (particularly if I can make it with my hands!!) I’ve come to appreciate the beauty and peace that art has taught me.
